A group of Invacare employees from the UK have volunteered to take part in a charity skydive with the objective of raising funds to support a worthy, local cause.
A young local boy, 5 years old, has a rare neuromuscular disorder called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. His family and friends are raising funds in order to provide him with specialist equipment to help him get out and about. Our team are going to try to do something brave to help raise sponsorship and awareness of this rare disorder. Funds raised from the skydive will be put toward this equipment which will change his life for the better!
Invacare Ltd, based in South Wales, decided to take on the challenge which will see 14 Invacare employees take part in a tandem skydive as a team over the next two weekends. The skydives will take place at Skydive Swansea, located at Swansea Airport, Fairwood Common in the heart of the Gower Peninsula. The Gower has been designated an area of outstanding natural beauty and is known for its outstanding beaches and stunning coastline - which should hopefully ease the nerves of our team members!
Best of luck to our brave team for taking part and let’s raise as many funds for the cause as possible!
