Over the next few weeks, Team Invacare will be raising funds for Chernobyl Children’s Life Line, Mid Glamorgan Link by carrying out a range of activities including cake sales, a raffle with various prizes and a tough Mount Snowdon climb. All Invacare UK employees are invited to join in and contribute to the fundraising efforts with a small team of 8 formed to take on the challenge of climbing the highest mountain in Wales.
All funds raised will be donated to Chernobyl Children’s Life Line, Mid Glamorgan Link which is a local charity close to a member of Team Invacare’s heart therefore we are putting every effort forward to support the cause together. The charity raises much-needed funds to bring as many children from Belarus over to the UK for 4 weeks’ respite from the effects of the radiation that still affects the country, a staggering 31 years after nuclear disaster. Due to poor immune systems, there is an unbelievably high number of children with cancer therefore this short break away from the radiation gives the children’s immune system an imperative 2-year boost. Since the charity started up 2 decades ago, thousands of children have been brought over thanks to the determination and generosity of those involved in fundraising. It is vitally important to keep up these efforts in order to continue bringing these much-deserved children over.
Every contribution is crucial to highlight the importance of making life’s experiences possible for all, particularly those who just need something as simple as fresh air.
