As Invacare return to The OT Show at the NEC for a third consecutive year on the 22nd and 23rd November 2017, the market-leading manufacturer and supplier is excited to launch a brand new website dedicated entirely to it’s Safe Patient Handling range.
Situated on stand E20, Invacare’s Safe Patient Handling team will be showcasing how www.safepatienthandling.co.uk has been specifically created with Occupational Therapists and Healthcare Professionals in mind. Alongside providing live demonstrations of the website, the team will also be discussing how the new educational web resources can be of use in day to day practice. These resources include:
- ‘Your Community’ – A group of 6 personas that bring to life the people who are regularly encountered within the community and residential care. Each persona has different physical and cognitive impairments, and are based on the Functional Independence Measure (FIM) to help highlight how their needs link to equipment choices.
- ‘Knowledge Bank’ – A series of clinical resources, including case studies, that have been created to help provide Occupational Therapists and Healthcare Professionals with additional knowledge and insights to enhance their daily practice.
- ‘Assessment Tools’ – Information on relevant assessment methods, such as the Person-Environment-Occupation (PEO) model and the Task-Individual-Load-Environment (TILE) risk assessment tool, and how these work together.
- ‘Solutions’ – Identification of how Invacare’s range of Safe Patient Handling products are designed to address safety in moving and handling around the home, in the bathroom and in the bedroom.
The new website will also enable visitors to ‘Meet the Team’, as well as keep up-to-date with the very latest news from Invacare Safe Patient Handling, including the calendar of events for 2018. Alongside the new website, Invacare will be displaying their 3 brand new product videos and handing out ‘Community Life’ survival kits, including kneeling pads and thermal mugs, to help Healthcare Professionals working in the community and residential care.
The Aquatec Ocean family of shower chair commodes, along with the new Aquatec Pure Bidet, will also be present on stand E20. Invacare’s Business Development Managers will be exhibiting how the modular nature of the shower chairs make them an ideal alternative to prescription based shower chairs, as well as presenting how the Aquatec Ocean VIP can be easily adapted to suit smaller adults or younger clients.
