Invacare recently announced a sponsorship agreement with world renowned para-athletes, Hannah Cockcroft and Nathan Maguire. We are delighted to announce that as part of this sponsorship package the couple have each received a brand new, Küschall Super Light (The KSL) active manual wheelchair.
The chairs, which Hannah and Nathan customised to their exact requirements using the online Küschall visualiser, were presented at an event in Warwickshire on Monday 2nd August.
Hannah and Nathan chose this model of Küschall for its lightweight and rigid fixed frame design that is precision built, giving exceptional drive performance. With the help of Rob Wickham at Bromakin wheelchairs, the couple were assessed and their unique specifications, with a couple of ‘special’ features, have been accommodated.
Hannah and Nathan commented:
“We feel so privileged and lucky to have the support of Invacare behind us as we go into the Games. Our wheelchairs are our independence and freedom to explore the Paralympic Village when we arrive, and of course enjoy our celebrations when we arrive home, is made even easier in our new KSL wheelchairs. So far, we have found them lightweight and easy to handle, with the new hydro forming technology making the chair easy to transfer in and out of the car. Thank you Invacare, we can’t wait for all the adventures to come!”
Hannah is also sponsored by Invacare for her Top End® racing chair and the couple are now making their final preparations for the forthcoming games. We hope you will join us in wishing them the very best of luck!
