Brand new to our Invacademy training programme for 2018, the Invacare Seating & Positioning course is aimed at those wanting to gain a basic understanding or refresh their knowledge of Invacare’s full seating range.

We are delighted to announce the first course will be co-presented by Sharon Sutherland PT, MISCP, MNAPTA: Owner/Manager of Seating Solutions LLC. Sharon has specialized in the field of seating, positioning and mobility for the past 28 years. Graduating from The University of Dublin, Trinity College as a Physiotherapist, she has given over 800 presentations on positioning, seating and mobility to audiences including physio/physical and occupational therapists, engineers, physicians, attorneys, nurses and case managers worldwide. This is a fantastic opportunity for our healthcare professionals and dealers looking for valuable, in depth knowledge from an experienced professional.

This FREE one-day course offers clinical guidance on how to fulfil varied positioning needs, followed by a complete summary of Invacare’s (manufactured and distributed) cushions and backrests. Participants will have the chance to explore the Propad, Matrx Flo-tech and Vicair range with an explanation of the different product features enabling you to examine and compare products in depth and develop expertise in seating solutions. There will also be a hands-on workshop covering how to fit Matrx back systems.

Whether you are looking to refresh your knowledge or provide a new starter with a complete summary, the Invacare Seating & Positioning course is the course for you. Participants will leave the course confident in understanding the principles of posture and positioning and how Invacare’s seating range can be applied to ensure positive outcomes for clients.
