As a leading manufacturer of ‘Safe Patient Handling’ solutions, we are pleased to announce support of a key workshop at this year’s ‘Moving and Handling PeopleConference.’
At the forthcoming ‘Moving and Handling PeopleConference’, Manual Handling Consultant Heather Hetherington will lead a workshop focusing on the demands and problems associated with single-handed care.
Well-thought-out equipment solutions are becoming more and more important within community environments. Many local authorities are reviewing care packages to ensure best use of resources, protect carers from injury and ensure positive patient outcomes. Invacare is delighted that the Robin overhead hoist and gantry system has been selected to feature in this workshop.
Overhead hoist systems, whether fully installed or gantry fitted, are often selected as core equipment when a single carer will be managing transfers*. The Robin with its unique ‘Dual Strap’ technology can offer significant benefits to assist in this type of transfer environment.
Invacare has been involved in the manufacture of Safe Patient Handling products for over 30 years. The company offers a straightforward range of non-complex, cost effective solutions that have been designed to provide safety, comfort and functionality for both client and carer. Widely used in Community and Residential Care, Invacare’s Birdie mobile hoists and Robin overhead hoists are a popular choice amongst Moving and Handling professionals.
The conference and exhibition takes place from 2nd – 3rd February 2016 at the Amnesty International, Human Rights Action Centre in Shoreditch, London.
