We are delighted to announce the launch of our new Matrx MAC back, designed for effortless customisation; our latest innovation in postural support and management. Completely configurable to a wide range of body shapes and sizes, the MAC back provides a custom fit, positioning and exceptional comfort in a straightforward system that's easy to work with, and simple to fit and adjust.
Simplicity and adjustability combined
Offering seamless adjustment, this system provides a combination of hip, and trunk support as well as stability for the upper body, with a focus on managing posture, while maximising functional ability. Choose from a standard 7.5cm, deep 15cm, or extra deep 23cm trunk supports. To accommodate a wide range of stability and positioning needs, you can mix and match trunk support for asymmetric postures.
With MAC back adjustments can be made to the height and width while a person is seated in their chair. In addition, with the use of the renowned 'Easy set' hardware (included with each back), MAC back offers height, depth, angle and rotational adjustments when mounted onto a wheelchair frame.
The MAC back also has the option of a comfortable, stable dual layer foam, called Stamina Fibre providing an immersive and comfortable layer that's suitable for people with postural asymmetries and use in tilt in space wheelchairs. Stamina Fibre foam is exclusive to MAC back.
Complete the backrest system with a choice of supportive headrests & pads
In addition to the new MAC back, we also offer a wide range of headrests that interface with all Matrx backrest systems. The most recent addition to the range is the Matrx Flipp bracket, which temporarily flips the hardware back to allow easier access to a person's head and neck without removing the entire headrest bracket from the chair. The Flipp bracket is compatible with standard, Matrx Loxx and Matrx Elan as well as all headrest pads, including the new HUG pad which features the same Stamina Fibre foam as the MAC backrest.
